The Tampa Bay Derby Darlins (TBDD) are now accepting entries for new logos for both the league and the all-star travel team.

Guidelines for entries

-The league name (Tampa Bay Derby Darlins) or the travel team (Tampa Tantrums) should be included in the final design.  If possible, we would like to incorporate Frank the Flamingo into the travel team logo, but it is not required.
-The logo should be immediately identifiable, simple, and clear in concept.
-It must adapt well to electronic media, printed media, screen-printing, and reduction to small sizes.
-Must be the original work of the submitter.
-Must be free of any copyright or other intellectual property claims.

Awards: The winner for each category will receive a check for $100, a bag of TBDD swag, a pair of 2009 Season Tickets, and recognition in the 2009 bout programs and on the TBDD website.

Format of artwork:

-Designs shall be submitted in their final form as finished artwork (no rough sketches).
-All submissions are to be in an appropriate electronic format (.jpg, .gif, .png, .eps, .psd).
-Designs must be able to be converted to a vector file (Adobe Illustrator) so photographic (raster) images and other concepts that cannot convert will receive less consideration.

Deadline: The designs must be received by midnight EST on Friday, December 1, 2008.  TBDD disclaims any liability for material submitted.

Number of entries: There is no limit to the number of entries that may be submitted.

Participation: The competition is open to all designers, both professional and non-professional, skaters and non-skaters alike. TBDD Steering Council members are excluded from submitting designs.
